STEMMER IMAGING is Europe's largest imaging technology provider with the headquarter in Germany (Puchheim near Munich) and subsidiaries in the United Kingdom (Tongham near London), France (Suresnes near Paris) and Switzerland (Pfäffikon SZ near Zurich). Image processing or machine vision are used in many different application areas - such as industrial automation, production technologies, medical imaging, security and traffic technology - as a powerful and cost effective way of implementing automatic quality assurance. Puchheim is a city near Munich in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, in Bavaria, Germany. It has about 20,000 inhabitants, and is located at 48°09′N 11°21′E. Puchheim is divided into two parts: the old and rural part called Puchheim-Ort and the new part of Puchheim (Puchheim Bahnhof) that was founded when the S-Bahn (a quick train commuting to Munich) was built. The old part of Puchheim is even older than Munich. Puchheim is well connected to the regional and national traffic network by S-Bahn (S4) from Munich Central Station in about 20 min and Autobahn (A 8, A 99).
