MEASUREMENT 2011 Smolenice

GENERAL INFORMATION

The 8th conference on measurement science will be held from 27 to 30 April, 2011 in the Smolenice castle located about 60 km from Bratislava, Slovakia in Low Carpathian mountains. The topics of the conference will cover three main areas: theoretical problems of measurement, measurement of physical quantities and measurement in biology and medicine. Printed proceedings of presented  papers will be available at the time of the conference. Authors of selected presentations will be invited to submit extended papers for publication in the on-line journal Measurement Science ReviewReview published by Versita and indexed in Web of Science, Thomson Scientific SSCI, Scopus, EBSCO and several other databases.

Special free buses will be offered for transportation between Bratislava and Smolenice before and after the conference. Accommodation and meals will be offered directly in the castle. For more information on the conference you can download the conference leaflet.

 

INVITATION FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 8th international conference on Measurement that will take place traditionally in the conference center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in the beautiful Smolenice castle.
The conference will cover a broad range of topics from theoretical problems of measurement to specific applications of measuring methods and systems in research, industry and medicine. The scientific program will include invited lectures, oral presentations and posters. We intend to organize also special sessions under the auspices of the sponsoring professional societies. We hope that the pleasant milieu of the castle together with the prepared social events will help to create a working atmosphere for fruitful discussions and making new partnerships.
I cordially invite all of you, scientists, researchers, engineers and students interested in up-to-date measurement science to meet in the castle in Smolenice !
