VISION bestätigt Position als Weltleitmesse für Bildverarbeitung

Branchenhighlight für Bildverarbeitung lockte 10.000 Besucher aus 58 Ländern nach Stuttgart

Stuttgart ist und bleibt der Branchentreffpunkt Nummer eins für Bildverarbeitung: Die VISION hat mit Aussteller- und Besucherplus geschlossen – Veranstalter und Partner sind mit den ersten Zahlen mehr als zufrieden. „Das diesjährige Event hat wieder einmal gezeigt: Für alle, die sich mit dem Thema Bildverarbeitung befassen, ist und bleibt die VISION das beliebteste Branchenhighlight“, freute sich Ulrich Kromer, Geschäftsführer der Messe Stuttgart, am Ende von drei vollgepackten und erfolgreichen Veranstaltungstagen. „Die Vielzahl an Produktpremieren aber auch die zahlreichen Firmenjubiläen, die hier gefeiert wurden, unterstreichen wieder einmal, dass die VISION eine absolute Pflichtveranstaltung mit internationaler Strahlkraft ist“, ergänzt Thomas Walter, Bereichsleiter Industrie & Technologie der Messe Stuttgart.

Die Bildverarbeitungsbranche weltweit boomt – von dieser Markteuphorie profitiert auch die VISION. „Die hohen Besucherzahlen, die Zunahme der Internationalität und das große Interesse an Bildverarbeitung freut uns immens. Die VISION war drei Tage lang das weltweite Zentrum für Bildverarbeitung und hat ihren Status als Weltleitmesse wieder einmal unter Beweis gestellt“, resümierte Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Geschäftsführer MVTec Software und Vorsitzender des Vorstandes der VDMA Fachabteilung Industrielle Bildverarbeitung. „Insbesondere die Qualität der Gespräche und das gesteigerte Interesse an Bildverarbeitung haben bestätigt, dass die Bildverarbeitungstechnologie neben der Fabrikumgebung längst unser aller Alltag erobert hat. Dies wurde auch durch das diesjährige Trendthema ,Embedded Vision‘ deutlich. Wir freuen uns schon heute auf die VISION 2018.“

Trendthemen als Besuchermagnet
Nachdem die Messe Stuttgart in diesem Jahr mit einem leichten Ausstellerplus (+ 2 Prozent) und einem gestiegenen Auslandsanteil (+ 3 Prozent auf 57 Prozent) in die Veranstaltung gestartet war, verzeichnete sie 2016 ebenfalls ein Besucherplus (+ 13 Prozent). Auch der Anteil der Besucher aus dem Ausland ist gestiegen. „Bildverarbeitung ist die Technologie, die Robotik und Automatisierung erst möglich macht“, erklärt Florian Niethammer, Teamleiter der VISION, „und die VISION ist die einzige Veranstaltung weltweit, auf der sich alle Anwender über das komplette Spektrum der Bildverarbeitungstechnologie in dieser Breite informieren können.“ Insbesondere die Trendthemen Embedded Vision, Hyperspectral Imaging und 3 D-Bildverarbeitung lockten fast 10.000 Besucher aus 58 Ländern nach Stuttgart. Niethammer: „Das kam bei unseren Ausstellern natürlich gut an. Die Firmen haben angemerkt, dass der Besucherzuwachs deutlich zu spüren war und hoben die besonders hohe Qualität der Kontakte hervor.“ Stark ins Auge fiel auch das rege Treiben in den Foren – viele Besucher ließen es sich nicht nehmen, zu einem der über 90 angebotenen Top-Vorträgen zu gehen.

Embedded Konferenz im VISION-Zwischenjahr
2017 veranstalten die Messe Stuttgart und der EMVA (European Machine Vision Association) die erste europäische Embedded Vision Konferenz. „Wie bedeutend das Thema Embedded ist, haben wir in den letzten Monaten verstärkt beobachtet. Wir haben es hier mit einer übergreifenden Technik zu tun, die sowohl in industriellen als auch nicht-industriellen Bereichen von hoher Relevanz ist“, sagt
Niethammer. „Gemeinsam mit unserem langjährigen Partner eine Konferenz für Entwickler und Anwender von Embedded Vision-Systemen zu veranstalten, ist eine logische Konsequenz. Das Thema boomt und deswegen besetzen wir es mit einem starken Partner.“ Die „Embedded VISION Europe 2017“ findet vom 12.-13. Oktober 2017 im Internationalen Congresscenter Stuttgart (ICS) statt.

Auch der Termin für die nächste VISION steht bereits. In zwei Jahren findet die Weltleitmesse für Bildverarbeitung vom 6.-8. November 2018 statt.
