Video: Xenics’s Smart Sensor Systems based on modular design for Long Wave
Hervé Copin - Xenics   Content: For image acquisition systems, often similar building blocks can be used to perform specific tasks. Therefore Xenics introduced a new line of small sensor systems, based on a modular design including a sensor. As each module can be individually tuned, the systems exhibit outstanding performance in noise, speed and power.Within the sensor interface, different sensors can be integrated. Xenics has introduced SWIR InGaAs-based cameras: the ‘Lynx’ line array (up to 2048 pixels), the ‘Bobcat-320’ and ‘Bobcat-640’ 2D-array and LWIR bolometer arrays:the ‘Gobi-384’ and ‘Gobi-640’. There is also a megapixel 2D array in the pipeline both for SWIR and LWIR. The second module consists mainly out of an FPGA board, which provides correct sensor signal sequene and settings, and makes sure all signals are compensated and calibrated at high speed. Finally, different interface modules can be provided with the camera: ...

Video: Infrared in machine vision - From shortwave line-scan array to longwave 2D bolometer camera
Martin Ghillemyn - Xenics 10:30 - 11:00 Uhr Content: Infrared cameras both line-scan and 2D add value in such that they show information invisible to the human eye or a daylight camera. Material separation with SWIR line-scan arrays in waste sorting is one of the growing applications. Only inspecting them in the shortwave infrared at wavelengths between 1.0 and 2.5 µm will reveal pertinent differences. Keywords: Videos 2009, Industry, Vision Sensors, Products & Services (P&S) ...
