Intelligent systems are more than the application of machine learning methods to evaluate image data, but involve the design of the vision system and the way image data is acquired and interacts with the environment. The newly established Mannheim Institute for Intelligent Systems in Medicine will host this topic. The forum will fundamentally address the question of what intelligence is and what this means for intelligent vision systems.

For two years, the Heidelberg Image Processing Forum could only take place online. Now we can meet on site again for the first time. Therefore, the host has given more time to the exhibition and submitted poster contributions and to the discussions during the breaks.
The lunch and coffee break provide sufficient time for practical demonstrations with exhibits in the exhibition that match the content of the forum, for discussion of the poster contributions and for informative discussions among the participants and with the speakers. The opportunity to present the exhibits or posters with a short talk ("teaser" with two minutes speaking time and a maximum of three slides) before the lunch break and the extended lunch and coffee break will give this part of the program the weight it deserves. Participation in the industrial exhibition is free of charge for registered participants (max. one table with power supply).
